Our client is a growing, family-oriented dairy company with over 40 years of success and a reputation for quality and consistency. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Quality Assurance Manager to oversee food safety and quality operations across two local production facilities.
Position Summary:
This newly created role is perfect for a QA leader who enjoys being on the production floor-not behind a desk-and thrives in mentoring teams and ensuring top-tier quality standards. You'll be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality systems, leading audit readiness, training QC techs, and collaborating across departments to uphold customer, regulatory, and company expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all QA activities across two plants
Implement and enforce QA policies, procedures, and corrective actions
Train and mentor QA/QC team members
Participate in customer and SQF audits
Conduct pre-shipment reviews, validation studies, and ensure compliance with GMPs, HACCP, SSOPs
Monitor and guide inspection and sampling for quality, temperature, and weight checks
Collaborate with Sanitation and Production leadership on housekeeping and maintenance
Communicate test results and quality updates with internal teams and external customers
Qualifications:
3 years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing QA
Strong knowledge of HACCP, SSOPs, GMPs, FDA/USDA compliance
Experience with audits and customer-facing communication
Familiarity with organic, Kosher, Halal standards preferred
PCQI certification and food science background preferred
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Comfortable leading from the floor, not the office
