Sofidel America of Duluth is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Manager. We are searching for a dynamic candidate that is local to the area and is looking for a long term role in a stable environment. Your expertise will make you an important part of our team.


As Quality Assurance Manager, you would provide leadership within the facility to drive positive change through influence and example. Implement and monitor a site quality management system and a product safety management system based on established group procedures and the local procedures. Ensure compliance to Federal and State regulatory requirements within the quality context. Develop and maintain the facility systems and processes to ensure the finished product meets product specifications.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Continue and develop a quality control program to eliminate new and existing defects
  • Manage all aspects of a site Quality Management System within an ISO 9001 framework
  • Lead full scope of internal and external audits
  • Write process reports
  • Manage all laboratory staff, equipment and calibration activities
  • Develop and implement staffing plans and related budgets
  • Work with suppliers on quality assurance issues
  • Manage provided annual site quality budgets.
  • Review discrepancy reports, and corrective action reports
  • Maintain corporate quality assurance standards and goals
  • Conduct bi-annual Quality Management Meetings with the site management team
  • Manage all aspects of a site Product Safety System within a GFSI recognized scheme framework
  • Train the quality assurance team
  • Conduct sites visits to assist or audit operations as required

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to quality or engineering
  • 5+ years' experience in a quality manager role or senior quality engineer
  • ISO Quality System Management
  • Familiar with ISO standards and procedures
  • Strong background with HACCP - internal/external safety audits
  • SAP Experience preferred
  • Ability to multitask, strong time management, and effective communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite of products
  • Required to travel up to 20%.
