Hijack Poker is seeking a seasoned Quality Assurance Manager to drive the technical strategy and execution for the Hijack Poker app's delivery pipeline. This role is both strategic and hands-on: you'll guide the technical delivery aspects, including the design and implementation of our end-to-end testing framework, CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and release validation workflows, potentially working with and coordinating with our product, QA and operations teams."
This role requires someone with a deep understanding of the technical aspects of delivering high-integrity solutions for platforms requiring 24/7 availability, exceptional technical leadership, and ideally, experience in environments with similar uptime demands such as gaming or high-traffic mobile applications.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement the technical delivery strategy, framework, and roadmap across mobile (iOS/Android) and web platforms, with a strong emphasis on release engineering and quality assurance.
- Lead and mentor the technical aspects of delivery, potentially guiding team members involved in testing, automation, and release processes.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment strategies to ensure the quality and stability of releases.
- Design and optimize delivery tools, pipelines, and dashboards in close collaboration with Engineering and DevOps.
- Own the technical release readiness and sign-off process for all app deployments, ensuring adherence to quality standards and operational requirements.
- Establish robust issue management and resolution workflows integrated with our issue tracking system (e.g., Jira), ensuring efficient triaging and communication across teams.
- Ensure technical documentation and automated checks keep pace with rapid development cycles and complex game logic, focusing on maintainability and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering,QA, and Support teams to understand requirements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth and high-quality releases.
- Champion technical excellence and a focus on delivering stable, high-integrity solutions, educating the broader organization on best practices for continuous delivery and quality.
Requirements
Qualifications
- 7-10+ years of experience in technical delivery or software quality engineering, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership capacity.
- Strong experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines for complex applications, especially in mobile and/or real-time platforms.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools and technologies relevant to testing and deployment (e.g., Appium, Selenium, Playwright, scripting languages, cloud deployment tools).
- Deep understanding of CI/CD principles, infrastructure as code, and integrating quality gates into the delivery pipeline.
- Experience with issue tracking systems (e.g., Jira) and monitoring/alerting tools to ensure system stability and facilitate efficient issue resolution.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, iterative environment focused on delivering and maintaining highly available systems.
Bonus Experience
- Familiarity with platforms requiring high availability and resilience, such as real-money gaming, online services, or financial applications.
- Experience with testing real-time, stateful applications and understanding the challenges involved in ensuring their integrity and performance.
- Prior work in mobile gaming, gambling apps, fintech, or other environments with stringent uptime and reliability requirements.
- Understanding of security considerations and testing methodologies relevant to ensuring the integrity and reliability of 24/7 platforms.
