Here's a snapshot of what we want you to do:

The QA Engineer is responsible for developing and automating comprehensive test strategies for web applications and software applications following QA best practices to ensure the quality of Evosus products from a client perspective. You will work closely with product and development teams and other QA team members to assess the testing strategy to fulfill customer and business needs. Using modern development and testing tools, you will support implementing and deploying new and existing testing functionality. Experience writing test automation is required.

  • Audits and ensures our product integrity and standards are being met and maintained.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans and test strategies.
  • Prioritize, design, and implement automated test scripts.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Identify and document defects, inconsistencies, and issues in a bug-tracking tool.
  • Provide consistent reports on testing progress and results.
  • Assess and prioritize risks based on impact and data.
  • Analyze performance test results, identify bottlenecks, and provide recommendations for performance improvements.
  • Document test processes, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Support UAT by coordinating with end-users and stakeholders.
  • Participate in the release planning by analyzing scope, requirements, and risks and providing estimations of test deliverables.
  • Make recommendations for improvements to existing standards or procedures.
  • Engage with Development & Product Owners to evaluate and verify the quality of stories & acceptance criteria.
  • Troubleshoot application issues received from Client Success and customer reports.
  • Applies industry best practices of standard testing methodologies and shares them with the team.
  • Assists in our software release process as needed, which may include hours outside of normal business operating hours.

Plus these Required Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree OR 4 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Familiarity with writing repeatable and reusable testing strategies.
  • 4+ years of QA experience in writing and implementing tests.
  • 3+ years of experience working within the SDLC.
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree OR 4 years of relevant professional experience.
  • 2+ Years experience with creating automated test cases.
  • Professional experience with automated testing tools like Selenium and Playwright.
  • Familiarity with programming languages: Java, Javascript, React.js, and Mendix.
  • Hands-on experience testing ERP software.
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence.
  • Familiarity with integrating testing into deployment CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with specialty retail or field service businesses.
Here's where you'll hang out:

This position works from our corporate headquarters in Vancouver, Washington in a professional office environment. Evosus is easily accessible, located less than a mile from I-5. We are across the street from a natural grocery store, a brewery, and many local restaurants.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position and workdays are Monday through Friday. The employee may be required to work additional hours for system down emergencies or after hour releases.
