Contract Type: W2 Duration: 3 Months with possible extension Location: Sunnyvale, CA Pay Range: $38.00 - $44.00 Per Hour Candidates will also be traveling to Labs around Mountian View, CA & San Jose, CA to be on the field and test product Job Summary: We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and dynamic Quality Assurance Engineer (Contract) to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our web applications by closely collaborating with developers and product managers throughout the development cycle. This role involves identifying use cases, creating and executing test cases, and meticulously reporting results to ensure the seamless operation of our production environment. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with developers and product managers to identify system requirements and integrate quality assurance controls into the development process. Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases based on identified use cases. Perform thorough testing of our website applications to identify any bugs or issues. Document, track, and report results of testing, including providing detailed descriptions of identified defects. Travel to rental labs to execute tests in various environments as required. Must-Have Skills: Ability to identify what is a Failure/ not Failures and ability to identify and do a debug on a failure. Strong proficiency in a Linux/Unix environment. Proven experience in the quality assurance process and familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Industry Experience: At least 0-2 years of industry experience in testing software, particularly website applications, is required. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar field is preferred but not mandatory with equivalent practical experience.
