Job Description The Quality Assurance Engineer - Manufacturing
- Lead and maintain an IATF 16949-compliant quality system across manufacturing operations
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve QA/QC procedures to meet industry and customer standards
- Conduct internal, product, process, supplier, and VDA audits; manage audit schedules and customer portals
- Drive PPAP submissions and support APQP activities for new product launches and modifications
- Create and maintain quality documentation, including FMEAs, Control Plans, and inspection records
- Use SPC, DOE, and data analysis tools to monitor trends, resolve issues, and improve process capability
- Lead structured problem-solving using 8D, 5-Why, FMEA, GR&R, and root cause analysis methods
- Implement and verify effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions
- Ensure compliance with applicable automotive regulations, certifications, and standards
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, R&D, Supply Chain, and Operations teams
- Interface with automotive customers to resolve complaints and provide quality-related support
- Conduct supplier audits and support supplier development and improvement initiatives
- Onsite at our Penn Hills, PA location

The Successful Applicant - 5+ years in an IATF 16949-certified or similarly regulated manufacturing environment
- Strong command of core quality tools: FMEA, 8D, GR&R, Control Plans, and APQPProficient in SPC, DOE, and statistical software (Minitab preferred)
- Experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer
- Certified or trained in Six Sigma and internal auditing (IATF 16949 preferred)
- Skilled in performing internal audits and supporting quality system compliance
- Capable of leading structured problem-solving and corrective action efforts
- Strong data analysis and technical reporting skills
- Proven ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and customer-facing initiatives
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment requiring multitasking and adaptability
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Effective communicator with leadership ability in a matrixed team setting
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field
- Local to Penn Hills, PA
