SUMMARY
As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will take the lead in quality initiatives, collaborating with the Warranty Department to address customer concerns and implementing effective processes and procedures. Your main goal will be to ensure that our products meet the highest standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining a robust quality management system.
  • Monitoring the quality system through regular internal audits.
  • Ensuring the thorough documentation and compliance of quality management practices.
  • Collaborating with department supervisors to ensure employees are fully trained in quality procedures and work instructions.
  • Maintaining a corrective action system for analyzing and addressing nonconformities and complaints.
  • Tracking quality metrics to assess defects and trends, using insights for continuous improvement.
  • Creating inspection instructions and guidelines.
  • Testing incoming gel coat materials.
  • Fostering effective collaboration and communication across teams.
  • Driving continuous improvement processes using tools like Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Actions, and Statistical Process Control charts.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Candidates should have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or Quality Control.
  • 3-5 years of experience with ISO 9001:2000 and QS900/TL 16949 standards.
  • 5-7 years of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Working knowledge of PPAPs, FMEA, and APQP methodologies.
  • ASQ certifications (CQE, CQA, CQM) are highly desirable.
  • Proven expertise in quality control and operations.
  • Experience with various quality improvement tools and techniques.
  • Demonstrated leadership, project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This full-time, permanent position regularly exposes you to working near moving mechanical parts, fumes, and moderate noise levels. The work environment may become warm or hot during certain operations.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to read and verbally communicate effectively in English.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The role requires standing and walking regularly, with specific vision requirements for close and color vision, and the ability to adjust focus as needed.
