We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to join our manufacturing team, specializing in the production of custom locker systems and commercial storage solutions. This role plays a vital part in ensuring data accuracy, order readiness, and quality assurance from engineering through production. The QA Engineer will oversee final validation of job details in the ERP system and manage the release of estimates into customer orders, ensuring all necessary information is accurate and production ready. Experience in manufacturing environments, ERP systems, and quality assurance processes is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities: - Estimate to Order Final Release - Own the final quality check and release of estimates into customer orders, ensuring all routing, BOMs, materials, and labor data are accurate and complete in the ERP system.
- ERP (Syteline) Data Validation - Review and validate engineering data within Syteline ERP, confirming material demand, routing steps, and job structure are correct before order handoff.
- CutRite Integration - Operate and maintain CutRite software outputs, ensuring optimized cutting data is accurately reflected and backfilled into the ERP system.
- SOP Review & Compliance - Ensure orders align with current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and support updates to SOPs for quality and data accuracy improvements.
- Production Documentation QA - Audit job packets and engineering outputs to verify correctness in material specs, part counts, and instructions prior to manufacturing release.
- Priority Job Oversight - Coordinate with purchasing and manufacturing teams to ensure high-visibility and expedited jobs for key clients are clearly documented and ready for smooth execution.
- Root Cause Support & Quality Feedback - Assist in identifying causes of recurring data or production issues, contributing to process improvement and error reduction initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration - Liaise with engineering, planning, procurement, and production teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure data-driven, high-quality order execution.
Qualifications & Skills: - Associate or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Quality, or related field.
- Experience in manufacturing, custom cabinetry, woodworking, or locker/storage system production preferred.
- Proficient in ERP systems (Syteline preferred), with strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Familiarity with CutRite or other nesting/optimization software.
- Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, BOMs, and routing instructions.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset across departments.
