We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team in supporting branded communication and scam protection services. In this role, you will be responsible for validating front-end user interfaces and middleware systems that power secure, authenticated phone numbers across carrier networks. This includes ensuring the accuracy and integrity of branded caller information, STIR/SHAKEN integrations, and APIs that support scam protection, call scoring, and branded display delivery.
What you'll be doing: - Develop and execute test plans and test cases for web portals, APIs, dashboards and middleware services
- Test API endpoints used for telecommunication industry standards.
- Perform system, functional, regression, integration and performance testing across complex ecosystems.
- Use tools like Postman, Swagger, SIPp, or internal tools to simulate and analyze SIP traffic and signaling/call flows.
- Automate test cases using frameworks such as Selenium, REST Assured, or UI AI framework such as AWS Nova, SageMaker or Bedrock.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and product analysts to understand features and technical implementations.
- Track, prioritize, and communicate defects in a clear, concise manner using tools like JIRA.
- Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and bug reports.
- Support deployment readiness and participate in production release validation.
- Proactively contribute to the improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
What you'll need: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent years of quality assurance or engineering experience.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in quality assurance.
- Curious, self-driven, and eager to learn new technologies including emerging AI/ML tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong grasp of software testing life cycle (STLC) and software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Experience in writing test plans that cover multiple products in one ecosystem.
- Experience testing APIs, STIR/SHAKEN systems, or front end/middleware services.
- Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of database testing (mySQL/Oracle/DynamoDB/Databricks).
- Comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.
Bonus points: - Experience working with branded communication solutions (e.g., branded caller ID, Rich Call Data).
- Knowledge of STIR/SHAKEN frameworks, call attestation, or telecom authentication standards.
- Basic scripting/programming experience in Python, Java, or equivalent preferred.
- Exposure to robocall mitigation frameworks or spam filtering systems.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Knowledge of language model or training such as AWS.
- Knowledge of telecom call flow signaling (SIP, RTP) is preferred.
