Quality Assurance Engineer - Quality Systems

Our Arens Control site in Arlington Heights, IL is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to support their quality systems development. As the Quality Systems Engineer, you will help define and document quality processes throughout the larger organization. As part of our quality systems team, you will be involved in maintaining our documentation system, product and process audits, formal certification body audits, and the development and reporting of key performance metrics.

Your Challenge:
  • Develops, applies and revises quality system standards for in accordance with company and contractual requirements.
  • Manages corrective and preventive action process to correct nonconformances and drive improvement of the management system
  • Experience utilizing problem solving techniques such as: 8D, Fishbone diagram, 5-why
  • Proficient with AIAG Quality Core Tools
  • Experience using or navigating through an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • Develop and automate reports to increase visibility of key metrics used in decision making. Power BI or related software experience a plus.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions for production staff on customer-specific quality standards, SOPs, and best practices
  • Effective Communicator: Capable of articulating quality standards and requirements to both customers and internal teams
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/activities; results-driven
What You Have:
  • High School Diploma required. Engineering degree strongly preferred.
  • 2-3 years of applicable experience within Quality Engineering with exposure to electrical/electronic products.
  • Experience within an IATF certified environment preferred. VDA experience a plus.
