Job Overview

We are seeking a QE Transformation Leader with 15+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, with at least 8 years in a leadership role to drive and execute the Quality Engineering (QE) transformation strategy for our customer. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and stakeholder management skills to ensure the successful adoption of modern QE practices. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of test automation, DevOps, CI/CD, test data and environment management, cloud technologies, and AI-driven testing while working in a multi-vendor ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the QE transformation strategy by assessing current maturity and implementing a roadmap for continuous improvement.
  • Engage with key stakeholders (IT Directors, QE CoR Leads, Test Managers, Developers, DevSecOps Leads, and Test Automation Leads) to align on transformation goals.
  • Evangelize a quality-first mindset, advocating for shift-left testing, DevSecOps practices, and continuous quality integration.
  • Develop and implement test automation strategies using commercial and open-source tools (e.g., Tosca, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, TestNG).
  • Build and optimize CI/CD-integrated automation frameworks that support various testing levels (UI, API, Data).
  • Oversee test data and environment management to ensure efficient and stable testing processes.
  • Establish and track key quality metrics to measure transformation success and optimize testing efficiency.
  • Collaborate seamlessly in a multi-vendor environment, ensuring alignment between different teams and service providers.
  • Provide hands-on problem-solving support, guiding teams through QE challenges and fostering innovation.
  • Ensure best-in-class test management processes, leveraging tools such as Jira/Xray, TestRail, and other ALM platforms.
  • Stay up to date with cutting-edge QE concepts including AI-driven testing, cloud-based testing, and DevOps practices.
Key Skills & Qualifications:

  1. Strong communication and coordination skills to manage cross-functional collaboration.
  2. Proven leadership experience in driving large-scale QE transformation initiatives.
  3. Excellent stakeholder management with a strong customer presence.
  4. Deep expertise in modern QE concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
  5. Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Tosca, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, and API testing tools like Postman.
  6. Solid experience in shift-left testing, CI/CD integration, and automation strategy development.
  7. Proficiency in test data management and environment management strategies.
  8. Ability to work effectively in multi-vendor environments, fostering collaboration and driving QE excellence.
  9. Nice to have: Cloud testing experience and GenAI-driven QE solutions.
  10. Strong DevOps skills, ensuring seamless integration of QE into CI/CD pipelines.
  11. Deep understanding of quality metrics, measurement techniques, and continuous improvement frameworks.
  12. Expertise across various testing levels: UI, API, data testing, unit testing, and static code analysis.
  13. Hands-on experience with project and test management tools (Jira/Xray, TestRail, Azure Test Plans, etc.).
  14. Proficiency in development testing practices (unit testing, static code analysis) to enhance quality at early stages.
Preferred Experience:
  • 15+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, with at least 8 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of leading QE transformations in large enterprise environments.
  • Strong experience working in Agile, SAFe, or DevOps-driven organizations.
  • Certifications such as ISTQB Advanced, SAFe Agilist, or DevOps certifications are a plus.
  • Nice to Have: P&C Insurance domain knowledge
