Skills

Tractionites come from a variety of backgrounds, and we are eager to find people that are from non-tradition
  • Bachelor's degree and/or related experience in computer science
  • 5+ years in a QA role, with at least 2 of those years in the Salesforce world
  • Solid experience creating test plans, test cases, and test strategies
  • Accuracy and excellent attention to detail (this means that your error rate is minimal, and you don't let small details slip by)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - able to work with and communicate clearly with product managers, developers, and sales users
  • Ability to structure and analyze requirements into discrete test procedures
  • A desire to help and share knowledge with others; caring for peers and their overall well-being
  • Reliable and able to get things done under important deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and able to adjust to changing priorities and timelines
  • Demonstrate a willingness and tenacity to finish what you've started and maintain a can-do attitude about your work and traction
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, or Node.js
  • Experience with writing and using automated web testing frameworks such as Selenium, Jasmine, or Mocha
Bonus Points
  • Experience with the Salesforce Platform, specifically: Sales Cloud, Layouts, record types, reports and dashboards
  • Experience using continuous integration/delivery technologies like Travis CI, Bitbucket Pipelines, Heroku, or AWS
What You Will Be Doing
  • Improve the quality of Traction's data products by executing and helping to set up best-in-class testing procedures for our company to follow
  • Create best practice test strategies and cases for Traction's data products
  • Work closely with product development team to determine, plan, execute, and document test cases
  • Increase customer satisfaction by decreasing the number of client-reported bugs over time
Job Outcomes
  • Admin certified within 3 months
  • Execute test cases and provides debugging support within first week
  • Create high-quality test plans derived from requirements within the first 30 days
  • Provide input on quality process at Traction Complete by 3 months
  • Benchmark the number of customer-reported bugs and decrease defects within 6 months
Compensation
Our market data is refreshed on an annual basis to reflect the most current market conditions. The starting salary band for this role is $70K-$90K commensurate with experience.


Starting salaries will vary within this range based on experience, skill level, and internal equity related to the role. In addition to base salary, the total compensation package includes additional components such as equity and benefits.
