Job Title: Quality Assurance Analyst

Location: Montgomery, AL (Onsite)

Type: Contract - 3 months (renewal on fiscal year)

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
  • The system handles all child support collections and distributions and shares information with other state systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform manual testing of applications, create and maintain test data, and document test results to ensure that changes to systems accurately meet technical and functional requirements
  • Design, develop, and document test plans and test scripts so that accurate test documentation exists for all assigned applications

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

5+ years of experience
  • testing large, complex mainframe applications
  • testing projects developed using waterfall methodology
  • analyzing Functional and Technical Requirements
  • participating in code and design walkthroughs
  • with Test Management
  • analyzing requirements and design documents to design, create, and implement Test Plans, Test Strategies, and Test Scripts
  • reading code to understand processing and data structures
  • partnering with technical team members and other project stakeholders to develop Test Cases, Test Scripts and Test Scenarios
  • analyzing test results
  • creating and maintaining test documentation and test reports
  • with defect reporting, triage, and tracking
  • using ISPF to access datasets, jobs, and databases
  • using CICS to navigate applications
  • creating, modifying, and managing datasets
  • creating, modifying, and executing JCL
  • with writing, debugging, and executing SQL
  • following formal Configuration Management procedures
SKILLS PREFERRED:
  • CA-7
  • Tictoc
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
  • Experience with a Child Support Enforcement program
  • Experience testing projects developed using agile methodology
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher with a minimum of 5 years of experience in testing mainframe applications. (Or) High School diploma or GED with a minimum of 8 years of experience in testing mainframe applications.
