Location: Hybrid model (Tuesday and Wednesday onsite in downtown Chicago).
We're seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Lead to collaborate with our IT teams and business units to ensure high-quality solutions that meet our business needs. You'll develop and implement QA standards, guidelines, and procedures, and lead small to medium-sized projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test sets
- Estimate QA efforts and provide high-level project planning
- Collaborate with business units to develop business requirements and functional specifications
- Analyze and present test results, and report on testing status and metrics
- Leverage quality control and quality assurance tools and methodologies
- Train and mentor team members on QA test management tools and best practices
- Ensure changes don't adversely affect applications, systems, or interfacing systems
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of IT experience, with 4+ years in a quality assurance role
- Solid knowledge of relevant information technologies and quality assurance best practices
- Experience with full life cycle software deployment, test planning, and execution
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to work under minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
- CSTE or equivalent certification
- Experience working with offshore Quality Control resources
- Experience developing and implementing QA processes
What You'll Do:
- Lead small to medium-sized projects and participate in larger projects
- Work closely with offshore QA teams and assist in resolving issues
- Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- Review test plans and test cases to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards
