Join Our Team Crafted of Virginia's Top Shelf Talent. Virginia ABC is currently seeking applicants for the Quality Assurance Analyst III role. This position is responsible for managing test planning, facilitating test sessions, and developing and executing manual and automated test cases. This role includes capturing defects, conducting validation in preproduction and production environments, and supporting QA project planning, product development, and process audits. The Analyst will also support the use of JIRA in line with user requirements and IT standards.
On medium to large-scale projects, the QA Analyst III may lead a team of QA Analysts, coordinating deliverables and mentoring junior team members. The role also involves collaborating with project managers to remove impediments and ensure successful QA activities.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Include: - Ensures Quality Assurance procedures meet ABC/ITSD established development and testing standards
- Ensures tasks identified in the Quality Assurance plan are executed in accordance with defined standards
- Establishes the standards and norms for the QA team on projects and testing activities.
- Coordinate with Development and Business Analyst teams for testing activities
- Represents the QA team in project standups and meetings
- Understands the individual components of the system and how they interact with one another.
- Communicates and documents test results to involved parties
- Works both independently and with others while managing multiple assignments
- Escalates issues and risks to project leadership in accordance with best practices
- Creates and owns the development and maintenance of the test strategy/plan on projects of all sizes and complexities with minimal guidance.
Minimum Qualifications - A minimum of 4 years of total software Quality Assurance Experience
Preferred Qualifications - Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
- Previous Experience using JIRA, Zephyr, and SharePoint
- Certification in Quality Assurance Software Testing (CTFL, etc), preferred.
- Experience working with multiple software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid, etc.)
