DescriptionJob Overview: The Quality and Systems Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained in our processes and products, while optimizing systems for performance and efficiency. You will play a key role in developing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems (QMS) and supporting continuous improvement efforts across the organization.
Key Responsibilities: - Quality Management:

- Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with industry standards, such as ISO 9001.
- Conduct internal audits and inspections to assess product and process quality and implement corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
- Partner with other business within the TMA group to participate in quality improvement efforts in non-Emerald led facilities
- Monitor and report on quality performance metrics, ensuring issues are tracked and resolved promptly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., production, engineering, supply chain) to identify and address quality issues.
- Provide training and support to staff on quality standards and best practices.
- System Optimization:

- Identify and evaluate areas for improvement in operational systems, processes, and equipment to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Design, implement, and oversee the integration of new technologies or systems that improve production quality and systems performance.
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure that new systems meet quality requirements and align with overall business objectives.
- Documentation and Reporting:

- Maintain accurate documentation for quality systems, including quality manuals, procedures, and work instructions.
- Prepare and present regular reports on quality system performance to management, providing analysis and recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure all quality documentation is in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Continuous Improvement:

- Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives, such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Kaizen projects.
- Drive the development and deployment of process improvements to enhance product quality and reduce cost.
- Support root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts for quality and systems-related issues.
Qualifications:Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree
- Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or other relevant certifications.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is a plus.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong understanding of quality assurance and systems engineering principles.
- Proficiency with QMS software and tools (e.g., SAP, MS Excel, Minitab, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
