Job Description Coca-Cola Beverages Northeast is looking for a qualified Quality and Food Safety Programs Manager to join our Quality, Safety, and Environmental (QSE) Department. This key position will primarily interact with two high-speed manufacturing facilities (East Hartford, CT and Londonderry, NH). playing a vital role in ensuring product excellence.
The Quality and Food Safety Programs Manager will be responsible for:
Overseeing Quality Assurance and Food Safety Programs: Support the implementation, and management of our quality assurance and food safety initiatives.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and industry standards, maintaining the highest level of product safety and quality.
Cultural Development: Foster a strong culture of quality and food safety throughout the organization, promoting continuous improvement and employee engagement.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities - Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of management systems that align with ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, and other relevant standards and regulations.
- Support development, documentation and training of key quality and food safety SOPs.
- Ensure compliance with Coca-Cola Company KORE Quality Requirements and drive adherence to global standards.
- Oversee key quality department resources, including Laboratory Data Management System (LDMS) and ETQ.
- Support the development and implementation of robust food safety programs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential food safety hazards and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure food safety programs are effectively integrated into all stages of the production process.
- Lead internal audits and coordinate external audits with regulatory agencies and third-party certifiers.
- Develop and deliver training programs to ensure staff understanding and compliance with quality and food safety standards.
- Provide training and support to staff on the management systems, including conducting internal audits, and ensuring that corrective actions are taken.
- Work closely with senior management to identify areas for improvement in the management systems, and develop and implement strategies to address them.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of quality and food safety requirements.
- Prepare and present regular reports on quality and food safety metrics to senior management.
Job Requirements - Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in quality, food safety, or a similar technical field in the food and beverage industry. Previous experience within a manufacturing operation is a must.
- Must possess the ability to apply technical knowledge and establish credibility with highly technical audiences, with the ability to break down or modify complex technical information as needed to communicate it orally or in writing to non-technical persons.
- Excellent project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across the organization.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential.
- Experience with Quality Management System (QMS) databases such as EtQ is a plus.
- Willingness to travel and work between our two manufacturing centers (expected travel is approximately 50%). Bedford, NH based. No remote work options.
