Are you a passionate early years professional? Tiny Tots Recruitment is working with a high-quality nursery setting in Brickett Wood in search of a Deputy Room Leader and Qualified Nursery Practitioner to support the development and delivery of outstanding childcare and education.

This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership role where you ll work closely with a Room Leader to inspire your team, champion the curriculum, and support children s development in a nurturing environment.

What You ll Be Doing

As a Deputy Room Leader, you ll help lead your room s daily operations while being a role model to the team. Your focus will be on delivering high-quality early years experiences, ensuring the wellbeing of each child, and supporting staff development.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting and mentoring practitioners in your room to uphold high care and education standards.
  • Embedding a child-centred curriculum and ensuring planning meets every child s needs.
  • Leading by example on safeguarding, health and safety, and professional conduct.
  • Building strong, positive partnerships with families, professionals, and colleagues.
  • Overseeing observations, assessments, and tracking of children s development.
  • Supervising mealtimes, hygiene practices, and daily routines.
  • Contributing to staff development, succession planning, and ongoing training.
About You We re looking for a confident and caring early years professional with:
  • A full and relevant Level 3 qualification (or higher).
  • Experience in a nursery setting with knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding procedures.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to support others effectively.
  • A clear understanding of child development and the key person approach.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
