Job Title: Quality Control Inspector - Utility Division

Location: Midland, Texas

Job Type: Full-time

Reports To: QA/QC Manager

Quality Control Inspector to join our team and ensure that all utility pole construction projects adhere to quality and safety regulations.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Conduct inspections of utility pole construction projects to ensure compliance with company, industry, and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor construction processes, materials, and workmanship to verify adherence to specifications.
  • Identify and document deficiencies, recommending corrective actions as needed.
  • Perform quality audits and generate reports on project compliance and areas of improvement.
  • Collaborate with project managers, shop supervisors, and crew members to uphold quality and safety standards.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, ANSI, ISO and other industry regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing, and corrective actions taken.
  • Provide training and guidance to shop personnel regarding quality control best practices.

Qualifications & Skills:


  • Should have CWI certification and shear wave experience; UTI testing experience a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control, inspection, or construction in the utility industry.
  • Knowledge of utility pole construction processes, materials, and industry regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects and non-compliance issues.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inspection reporting software.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
