Position Summary
The QC Administrative Assistant is primarily responsible for the overall support of the QC department. The QC Administrative Assistant will complete such tasks as directed:
Responsibilities
- Provide general office support, including FAX, typing, scanning, duplicating, correspondence, telephone, order entry, generation of proposals and other support functions necessary for the support of the Department.
- Assist in the planning and preparation of meetings, i.e., schedule conference rooms, order lunch, etc.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area.
- Collect data, prepare and publish QC metrics reports.
- Support MRB by attending meetings, taking notes, updating MRR's with assigned tasks and sending out emails regarding MRR tasks.
- Proofread records or forms, sort and file records and maintain filing system. Maintain detailed notes and files.
- Create purchase order requisitions as needed to support QC functions.
- Perform basic Receiving Inspection or Final Inspection as assigned to support company goals and schedule requirements. Exercise judgement regarding the acceptability of parts and assemblies while maintaining clear and concise inspection records as required by RIX Quality Management System and related procedures.
- Performing the role of Calibration Coordinator in accordance with RIX Quality Management System and RIX procedure MP002. This includes being responsible for the control and calibration status of all calibrated measuring and test equipment at the assigned plant. This includes, but is not limited to, running monthly reports, sending out notification emails, pulling calibrated items each month before their calibration due dates, organizing calibration facility pick-up and delivery of calibrated equipment, creating purchase order requisitions to send items out for calibration, and reviewing and accepting documentation and calibrated items received back from the calibration supplier.
- Performing all assignments and miscellaneous projects in the best interest of the company or as directed by your Manager.

Minimum Qualifications
- High School Graduate. One year data entry, 1-2 years administrative/clerical experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment. Demonstrated ability in managing varied work in a business environment.
- Ability to carry out written and oral instructions as directed by their supervisor. Ability to deal with problems involving variables in several situations at one time. Ability to perform under pressure. Telephone and verbal communication skills. Must possess working knowledge of desktop computers and software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Must possess working knowledge of office equipment such as phone, fax machine, copier, etc.
- Ability to perform basic calculations.
- Ability to communicate with others to exchange information both orally and in writing.
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizen or qualified U.S. Person in accordance with ALU 22CFR 120.15. May require the ability to obtain DOD security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two year office administration experience.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
This position is regularly exposed to the following conditions:
- Manufacturing, warehouse and office environments
- While working near moving equipment, mechanical parts and lift trucks; must have the ability to follow safe operating procedures.
- May be exposed to loud noise, fumes and/or toxic chemicals.
Must have the following physical abilities:
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, reach, and lift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods at a desk or table as well as machine tools or printers.
