Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Software Test Manager to oversee the pre-deployment testing process for our cutting-edge flight planning system. This role is crucial to ensuring the quality, accuracy, and regulatory compliance of the system. The Software Test Manager will be responsible for planning, documenting, and executing test plans, managing defect resolution, and reporting the overall testing progress. This individual will work closely with Development, Product, Compliance, Safety, end-users, and stakeholders to deliver a high-quality flight planning system.
Key Responsibilities Developing Test Strategy:
Create a comprehensive testing plan that outlines the testing approach, scope, and priorities for the flight planning system.
Leading Pre-Deployment Testing Initiative:
Organize and manage the team members involved in the testing process, assign tasks, and provide guidance to ensure effective test execution.
Test Plan Creation:
Design detailed test plans, including test cases, test environments, and schedules that align with project goals.
Defect Management:
Track and prioritize identified defects, ensuring they are communicated to the development team and resolved in a timely manner.
Reporting and Communication:
Provide regular updates on testing progress, identify potential risks, and communicate results to stakeholders effectively.
Resource Allocation:
Organize testing resources, including tools, environments, and personnel to ensure proper execution of the test plans.
Quality Assurance:
Implement and maintain quality standards and best practices across the testing process to ensure high-quality software.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor†s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Software Test Manager or Lead with a track record of managing complex testing projects.
- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to thrive and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications - Certifications in Quality Assurance or Project Management.
- Experience with performance testing and/or security testing.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Experience working with safety-critical software systems and knowledge of DO-178B/C software testing standards.
Certifications Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA) or similar Quality Assurance certifications (Preferred).
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or relevant Project Management certifications (Preferred).
