Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital is a small community hospital that does big things to help people. Our two hospital units specialize in caring for medically complex patients with a similar acuity to a medical surgical or telemetry unit. With our population typically staying for 2-3 weeks, caregivers see the same patients make progress over time.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Designs, conducts and coordinates quality assurance and improvement activities.

• Works collaboratively with the Hospital departments to establish and manage an effective quality assurance program for the measurement and evaluation of clinical, functional status, and satisfaction outcomes, and the improvement of services/outcomes throughout Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital.

• Projects and activities are designed to improve compliance with all of The Joint Commission's standards as well as other accrediting agencies and regulatory bodies.

• Performs related duties, as required.

• Supports the philosophy and mission of Whittier by facilitating performance improvement linked to the strategic plan.

PREREQUISITES:

• Current RN Massachusetts licensure.

• BSN preferred.

• Knowledge of managed care, adult-geriatric nursing, management of the disabled, OBRA, OSHA, HCFA, The Joint Commission and Medicare required.

• Knowledge of growth and development across the life span.
