QA Manager

QA Manager Description:

A strategic and experienced QA Manager is needed to lead quality assurance and food safety operations at a fast-paced production facility. This leadership role ensures that all products meet or exceed internal, regulatory, and customer expectations, while supporting continuous improvement and compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of food safety standards, team development, and cross-functional collaboration to drive consistent, high-quality outcomes.

Job Responsibilities:

- Oversee all plant quality assurance functions to ensure compliance with customer specifications, USDA regulations, and company standards.
- Lead the development and execution of quality systems and food safety protocols, including HACCP, LCP, and pathogen reduction programs.
- Direct and mentor the QA department, fostering team growth and supporting decision-making across shifts and processes.
- Serve as the plant authority on quality-related issues, working closely with operations, corporate QA, and regulatory agencies.
- Promote continuous improvement through research, technology adoption, and process refinement.
- Ensure proactive communication with internal stakeholders and external regulators on quality and food safety matters.
- Provide training and education to plant personnel to build awareness and compliance with quality programs.
- Maintain accurate, timely reporting and analysis of QA metrics for plant and corporate leadership.

Job Requirements

QA Manager Requirements:

- 5+ years of QA leadership experience in food manufacturing, preferably in protein or poultry processing.

- In-depth knowledge of HACCP, USDA regulations, and food safety program implementation.

- Bachelor"s degree in Food Science or related field preferred, but not required.
