Akkodis, Inc. is seeking a Lead QA for a full-time direct and hybrid role with an industry leader that is growing. The role is located in a suburb of Cleveland, OH. The QA Lead will be responsible for developing and executing test plans, ensuring that all software products meet the company's standards, and maintaining quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle. The Lead Quality Assurance Analyst will take charge of guiding and mentoring junior QA staff, organizing testing efforts, and reporting on software performance. Qualifications include 5+ years of QA testing experience, which includes 3+ years in Automation.

Salary Range: $90-110K; salary negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors

Lead QA Job Responsibilities Include :
  • Developing and implementing quality control procedures and policies within the organization
  • Defining test strategies, plans, and scenarios based on the requirements gathered from project stakeholders
  • Reviewing and analyzing technical requirements, test plans, and test cases for completeness, accuracy, and consistency
  • Developing detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases and test plans
  • Conducting QA audits to identify areas for improvement and apply corrective measures
  • Ensuring that all products delivered meet the organization's quality expectations
  • Working closely with the development team to understand product changes and schedule testing needs
  • Performing manual and automated tests to ensure software quality
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues
  • Looking to continuously improve test processes and tools
  • Will eventually build and lead the QA team
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Quality Assurance experience, including testing of Windows or mobile applications
  • 3+ years of experience in automation
  • Ability to select and integrate automation tools
  • Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and quality assurance processes
  • Experience with manual and automated testing approaches and tools
  • Azure DevOps is required
  • Familiarity with various testing and project methodologies and DevOps
  • Exposure to testing software applications across multiple platforms and operating systems
  • Proficiency in test management tools such as Appium, Selenium JIRA, HP Quality Center, or Bugzilla preferred
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
