Quality Assurance (QA) Lab Technician - Food Manufacturing
Location: Manitowoc
Pay: Starting at $19.00/hour , with potential for more based on experience
Schedule: 2nd shift, 2:30 p.m. - 12:30 a.m. Join a team where quality is more than a goal-it's the standard. We're hiring a QA Lab Technician to support our client's food and dairy production operations. This role ensures the safety, compliance, and consistent quality of our raw materials, finished products, and production processes. Key Responsibilities:
•  Perform in-process quality checks and monitor production for compliance.
•  Conduct lab testing on finished products and raw materials .
•  Perform post-sanitation inspections and allergen testing .
•  Review and maintain sanitation documentation and oversee the Master Sanitation Schedule .
•  Manage ingredient and supplier documentation , ensuring accuracy and completeness.
•  Identify and report non-conforming ingredients or products .
•  Support compliance with GMP, FSMA, Food Defense , and SQF programs.
•  Provide or obtain a Pasteurization License within 6 months of hire. What We're Looking For:
•   Associate degree in Food Science, Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or equivalent experience (Bachelor's preferred).
•  Experience in HACCP , sanitation , and food or dairy manufacturing is strongly preferred.
•  Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and documentation.
•  Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
•  Familiarity with food safety regulations and quality systems. Additional Requirements:
•  Completion of GMP, FSMA, Food Defense Awareness , and Allergen Training (or willingness to complete).
•  Must meet all requirements of the SQF program.
•  Willingness to obtain Pasteurization License if not already certified. Why Join Us?
