Job Title: QA Engineer

Overview:

This position is ideal for professionals who are passionate about quality, thrive in fast-paced environments, and enjoy being on the production floor solving real-time challenges. This is not a desk-only role-you'll be a visible and influential presence on the floor, helping drive compliance, coach teams, and ensure product integrity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead investigations into production deviations and consumer complaints, ensuring timely and compliant resolution.
  • Apply root cause analysis tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, Gemba Walks, and Kaizen methodologies.
  • Draft and manage deviation reports, corrective actions, and preventive measures.
  • Serve as a quality advocate on the floor, building relationships and coaching production staff.
  • Conduct audits to proactively identify and mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, and lab teams to support continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a GMP-regulated environment (food, pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device).
  • Strong scientific writing and documentation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience leading deviation investigations and implementing corrective actions.
  • Familiarity with SAP and continuous improvement tools.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships and coach others effectively.
Work Environment
  • 50% of time spent on the production floor.
  • 50% in an office setting.
Compensation:
  • Includes $4,800 annual shift premium, 8% target bonus, stock incentives, $1,500 sign-on bonus

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.21 - $35.58/hr.
