Quality Assurance Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Quality Assurance testing of edge product releases, including baseband video and audio processing, network streaming as per SMPTE2110, HOME UI operation, device configuration, system upgrades, and regression testing.
- System integration testing with HOME, HOME APPs and other devices.
- System testing for scalability, performance, robustness, and security.
- Ongoing development and expansion of automated test coverage for edge.
- Development, maintenance, and execution of manual feature test scripts.
- Working with the Support team to troubleshoot customer and deployment issues.
- Working with the DevOps team to optimize the CI environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of two years' experience in a Quality Assurance role.
- Experience with professional video and audio broadcast systems, and with standard professional broadcast test equipment, eg Telestream, Phabrix.
- Good knowledge of video and audio IP streaming standards eg SMPTE2110, Ravenna, AES67, Dante, NDI, SRT.
- Knowledge of scripting languages eg Python.
- Experience with broadcast industry control protocols eg NMOS, Ember+.
- Experience of containerization and cloud technologies eg Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform.
- Experience of standard office tools and operating systems eg Microsoft Office 365, Linux, Windows, macOS.
- Experience of version control, issue tracking and collaboration tools eg Git, JIRA, Xray, Confluence.
- Experience of agile development, automated CI/CD tools, and release processes.
- Knowledge of the Lawo portfolio of products.
- Keen to learn new technologies and products.
- Education in electronic engineering, computing, IT or related field.
- Ability to work independently within a small team.
- Ability to travel occasionally for business.
- Fluent in spoken and written business English.
