We are a high growth startup backed by one of America's top furniture retailers. We are looking for a QA Engineer to help define and execute the quality assurance infrastructure and testing frameworks required to support a high traffic and resilient website. This is a highly technical role, and the ideal candidate is a seasoned engineer with deep knowledge of modern testing protocols and test automation technologies. This role collaborates closely with Software Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers to develop a world class user experience for our customers.
Responsibilities
• Build and manage testing frameworks, test case documentation to facilitate functional, system integration, and regression testing
• Collaborate with other software an QA engineers to determine the appropriate test and automation frameworks for web, API, and microservice testing
• Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies like Sprint Planning, Demos, Estimation, Backlog Refinement etc.
• Develop frameworks and automated test cases commercial or open-source frameworks
• Automating build testing and deployment management within a containerized environment
• Able to develop manual and automated testing strategies for existing systems
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• 3+ years of test automation experience with SaaS or e-commerce products
• Experience in designing, developing and delivering QA automation testing
• Experience creating automation for frontend, microservices, and APIs
• Strong knowledge of Agile testing methodologies and best practices
• Knowledge of and full understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles.
• Experience with testing tools like Cypress, Selenium, BrowserStack, Postman, ReadyAPI etc. Cypress preferred.
• Experience testing with 3rd party data integrations is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to code in one or more programming languages Python, JavaScript etc.
• Able to query relational and non-relational databases. MongoDB experience is a plus
