Apex Systems has an opening for a Sr. QA Analyst with a healthcare client. This role will support manual functional testing of a APIs and Data Transactions/ETL as a well as other features for new, from scratch application development initiatives.
- Candidates for this position should be well versed in writing and executing SQL queries as well as writing, executing and managing functional test cases in Qtest.
- Evaluates and tests new or modified software programs and software development procedures used to verify that programs function according to user requirements and conform to establishment guidelines.
- Writes, revises, and verifies quality standards and test procedures for program design and product evaluation to ascertain quality of software.
- Reviews new or modified program, including documentation, diagram, and flowchart, to determine if program will perform according to user request and conform to guidelines.
- May review computer operating log to identify program processing errors. Tests program for validity of results, accuracy, reliability, and conformance to establishment standards.
- May identify differences between establishment standards and user applications and suggest modifications to conform to standards.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years' experience in software testing.
• Must have strong experience writing and executing SQL queries.
• Strong experience with a test management system like qTest/ALM
• Strong experience of JIRA or similar agile software development too
• Strong knowledge of SDLC/Agile Scrum/KANBAN/Test Driven Development
• Experience supporting Greenfield development- Comfortable supporting a team that is building new application(s) from scratch.
• Strong communication skills and self-starter
• Experience automating test cases using one of the following tools Tosca/Selenium, QTP/UFT, LeanFT are plusses
• Experience in Health Care, pharmaceuticals or managed care is a plus.
Required Skills : - 5+ years of Manual QA Testing Experience - Experience on at least 1 project that is supporting Greenfield Development (working on a brand new application that had no existing code) - Experience writing test plans and cases for a brand new application that does not have existing test strategy. - Strong SQL Experience- ability to write and execute queries for data validation - Strong ETL Testing- must have been hands on with ETL testing. - API Testing- experience with API testing using SOAPUI, Rest Assured, Or something similar.
