Job Description:
Lead testing activities for a major product platform implementation interacting with client stakeholders
Work with cross functional teams, with end-to-end coverage of functional testing
Driving test automation framework design & development
Enabling in sprint test automation for UI as well as backend
Guiding other team members
Key Responsibilities:
The automation testing tools
Work in close liaison with customer and development teams for co-ordination and communications related to the testing activities
Work with the testing team to ensure the stories are verified for accuracy of acceptance criteria and is tested as per the sprint plan to enable early validation and prevent defect leakage to production
Monitor the project from process and quality standpoint and alert the project manager about the deviations/risks at the earliest
Guide and mentor the testing team in implementing best practices in different areas of testing including System testing, Regression testing (including automation), Performance Testing, Security Testing etc.
Track the quality metrics and initiate proactive interventions with customer and development teams to improve the metrics
Efficient reporting of the test metrics to client stakeholders reflecting the accurate information on the status and quality of the product
Should have good working knowledge of agile processes and DevOps processes specifically regarding testing
Work experience in financial domain (specifically payments-based systems) will be an added advantage
Following should be the responsibilities of a test lead:
Define test strategy and test approach to meet the project timelines without compromising on quality
Interact with client stakeholders to understand the testing needs as per product requirements, quality gating criteria, strategies to realize the test outcomes, enable test automation
Perform test planning activities for each sprint and ensure the team can complete testing as per the test strategy defined
Drive in sprint test automation for feature delivery in alignment with dev cycles by enabling required process modelling and mitigating challenges
Monitor that the defined test approach is followed, and the tasks are completed as planned in the sprint. Raise any risks encountered
Enable the testers to collaborate with rest of the team and the stories get tested as soon as the development is complete as per the sprint plan
Perform test reporting like test progress report, summary report, quality metrics etc. and keep the project team posted on the testing progress
Do periodic review of the testing process followed and the deliverables created. Suggest process improvements needed
Identify and implement technical innovations that adds value and improve the engineering processes including AI adoption
Guide and mentor, the team to learn new tools and follow best practices in the industry
Frequently connect with the testing team and support them in addressing any concerns or issues that they are facing in the project
Job Specification / Skills and Competencies:
The candidate should have excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and be team oriented
Good client interfacing skills
Knowledge of financial domain, specifically payments will be an added advantage
Innovative in proposing/implementing new ideas/processes
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new testing tools/technology and implement it effectively
