A Day in the Life of a QA Automation Engineer
As a QA Automation Engineer at RLDatix, you'll work closely with developers and other QA professionals to test new features, troubleshoot bugs, and prevent defects from ever reaching customers. You'll design both automated and manual test cases, using tools like Selenium, Python, and Postman to ensure the software performs at its best. Your role will be key to maintaining the product's reliability, usability, and performance as it scales.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing and building automation test suites using Python and Selenium
- Running and maintaining manual test plans when needed
- Organizing and managing test documentation in TestRail
- Using tools like Postman to validate APIs and backend services
- Working closely with developers to reproduce, track, and resolve bugs
- Collaborating on project scope, strategy, and QA best practices
- Participating in agile/scrum ceremonies and development sprints
- Providing detailed reporting and documentation of testing outcomes
Requirements and Qualifications:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Python
- 3+ years of experience with Selenium, automating test scenarios
- Comfortable performing manual testing when required
- Experience with full stack development using Python and modern front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue
- 1+ year of experience with AWS or another cloud service for deploying applications or infrastructure
- Familiar with Agile/Scrum Methodology
