(40 hrs. a week) Contract length: 3 years Job Title: Python Engineer Overview We are seeking a skilled Python Engineer with extensive experience in developing robust, scalable, and secure applications. The ideal candidate will work within our development team to design, implement, and maintain Python-based solutions while contributing to our DevOps practices and ensuring compliance with security standards. Requirements Experience Minimum 5 years of professional experience in software development with Python Hands-on experience working with AWS cloud services and infrastructure Demonstrated proficiency in building scalable and performant applications Experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines Track record of developing secure and compliant systems Technical Skills Strong Python programming skills with knowledge of modern Python frameworks Practical experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, etc.) Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) Understanding of CI/CD tools and methodologies (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline) Knowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks Experience with version control systems (Git) Responsibilities Design and develop high-quality, efficient Python applications Implement and optimize AWS-based solutions Create scalable architectures that can handle increasing workloads Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment Ensure code quality through testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices Apply security principles throughout the development lifecycle Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business solutions Document code, processes, and technical specifications Desired Qualifications Experience with Python web frameworks (Django, Flask, FastAPI) Knowledge of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation) Experience with monitoring and logging tools Understanding of agile development methodologies
