Akkodis is seeking a Python developer for one of our clients in Conway, Arkansas.


Rate Range: $54.00/hour to $60.00/hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.


We are seeking a Python developer who has experience working with hardware interfaces like oscilloscopes, ECUs, and other similar types of hardware. This is an exciting role with one of the world's leading manufacturers of electronic, electrical, and fiber optic connectivity systems.


For this particular assignment, candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.


This position is onsite in Conway, Arkansas.


Primary Activities

  • Develop and maintain Python scripts to interface with test equipment and other hardware devices.
  • Collaborate with engineers to support hardware testing and data acquisition setups.
  • Implement or enhance automation for hardware validation using Python or LabVIEW.
  • Interface with lab hardware such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, or custom electronics.
  • Develop test routines, validate hardware interfaces, and support signal integrity testing if applicable.
  • Handle data collection, storage, and analysis, including possible database interactions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware-software communication.

Must Haves:

  • Technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or similar.
  • 3+ years of Python programming experience, especially in hardware interface environments.
  • Demonstrated experience working with hardware interfaces (e.g., serial, USB, GPIB, I2C, SPI-not just PC hardware).
  • Ability to write robust, modular, and well-documented code for test automation or device communication.

  • Experience with LabVIEW is a HUGE plus.
