Job Description
As a Backend Application Developer, you will be an integral part of the Network Analytics & Reliability Enablement (NARE) team, working within a mature, scalable agile delivery framework organized into pods. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating with your team to architect and develop analytics applications that support the company's strategic programs for 2025 and beyond. You will deliver scalable infrastructure capable of running new data science models and onboarding additional models. Your role will require proficiency in Python, cloud services (preferably AWS), SQL, graph databases, and data pipeline development. You will also be responsible for data modeling, database design, deploying and maintaining applications in production environments, and version control using Git. Experience with various AWS services, NoSQL/document databases, container technologies, graph query languages, and in-memory data stores will be advantageous.

Skills and Requirements
Software development (prioritizing back-end over full-stack or front-end)
Python programming (ideally 3-4+ years)
Experience designing a solution; the ability to speak to why specific services were used over others, why a certain tool or service was chosen for the specific use case, etc.
AWS Cloud experience (building services in AWS); S3, EC2, Lambda, StepFunctions, SNS/SQS, EKS, CloudWatch, Eventbridge, EMR and/or RDS
Strong database experience (SQL and NoSQL); understanding of the tradeoffs and use cases for each; practical experience using various databases (preferably in the cloud) Data science/ ML-engineering
Graph database- this team owns a huge graph database (topology data) so exposure here would be a big plus.
Experience with graph query languages (e.g., Gremlin, GraphQL)
Experience developing data pipelines to ingest from data streams such as Kafka
Data modeling and database design
Version control / git experience
Container experience (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
In-memory data stores (e.g., Redis, ElastiCache) null
