Overview of the Purchasing Specialist role:
• Develop and maintain vendor accounts to ensure strong supplier relationships.
• Track and report key functions/metrics to reduce expenses and improve overall effectiveness.
• Follow up with suppliers to confirm any order updates or changes.
• Effectively partner and negotiate with vendors to secure favorable terms.
• Collaborate with departments to review and adjust inventory levels as needed.
Preferred Qualifications for the Purchasing Specialist role:
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Previous experience in purchasing or procurement.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain vendor relationships.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
Salary: $58,750.00 to $71,250.00 depending on experience
