Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute purchasing strategies that align with organizational objectives and budget constraints.
- Research, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
- Analyze market trends to optimize procurement processes and maintain cost-effective purchasing.
- Oversee inventory management and ensure that materials are ordered and delivered on time.
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams to forecast demand and plan inventory needs.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and generate purchasing reports for management review.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and ethical sourcing practices.
Requirements
- Experienced in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management, with a preference for distribution or manufacturing sectors.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills and a proven track record in vendor management.
- Strong analytical abilities and experience with purchasing software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
- In-depth knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
