SUMMARY

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct the procurement of materials, packaging, and maintenance supplies, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels for packaging and MRO items, balancing availability and budget efficiency.
- Resolve issues related to supplier performance, product discrepancies, returns, and damage claims.
- Supervise and coach the purchasing team, promoting effective time management and prioritization of tasks.
- Facilitate training and advancement opportunities to strengthen team capabilities and support career growth.
- Align with Planning to ensure purchasing strategies support accurate forecasting and efficient inventory control.
- Negotiate vendor contracts to achieve favorable pricing, quality standards, and reliable delivery schedules.
- Identify supply chain risks, particularly in raw material sourcing, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders, including Customer Service and Supply Chain teams, regarding order statuses and expected deliveries.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement practices to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 5 to 7 years of purchasing or procurement leadership experience required.
- Demonstrated expertise in supplier management and contract negotiation.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with excellent follow-through.
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with MRP systems.
- Background in manufacturing is essential.
