Seeking a Purchasing Manager for a manufacturing client in the Franklin County PA area.
Essential Functions of the Job:
Oversee a department of 5 people to insure that raw materials, supplies, and services are purchased at the lowest possible price.
Provide leadership to internal department and direct efforts with all departments to make sure product arrives when needed
Negotiate pricing for raw materials, supplies and services.
Source new suppliers that meet cost, quality and delivery requirements
Ensure all PO procedures and followed with proper approvals
Make sure everything is up to date and accurate in ERP system
Desired Education/Skills/Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or other relevant area
CPM Certification or APICS Certification
At least 8 years of progressive purchasing experience
Excellent computer skills and experience with ERP/MRP systems
Must be very metric oriented and used to a high accountability environment
