The Opportunity
Hera Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Purchasing Specialist to support our procurement and vendor management operations. This role is responsible for executing and tracking purchase orders, managing raw material inventories, supporting supplier performance programs, and coordinating purchasing administration. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, ERP experience, and a proactive attitude to our fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Create purchase orders using JobBOSS ERP, track expected ship dates, and follow up on raw materials and supply orders.
- Process approved requisitions, generate POs, monitor deliveries, and ensure accurate PO closeouts.
- Receive and verify vendor invoices; manage documentation in the "Waiting for Approval" folder.
- Maintain physical and electronic filing systems related to purchasing activity.
- Monitor and maintain raw material and supply inventory levels.
- Liaise with internal teams and external vendors to meet business requirements efficiently.
- Manage supplier PO administration and coordinate all vendor communications.
- Conduct supplier control activities including ASL audits, performance evaluations, and corrective actions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and workplace safety.
- Perform cross-functional operations as required.
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ERP system proficiency (JobBOSS preferred)
- Administrative support experience
- Working knowledge of accounting practices and QuickBooks
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Basic computer and networking knowledge
- Ability to learn and perform cross-functional operations
Preferred:
- Experience in purchasing composites
- Prior experience in the aerospace industry
Work Authorization & Compliance
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must pass a background check and credit check
- Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol test
Work Environment
- Majority of time spent in an air-conditioned office with an assigned cubicle
- Occasional walkthroughs in the production area (non-air-conditioned, higher noise levels, safety gear required)

Physical Requirements
- Prolonged sitting at a computer workstation

- Visual acuity: near/distance vision, color/peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
- Ability to stoop, kneel, and crouch when necessary
Salary Range: $70,000-$80,000 per year
This pay range represents the expected base salary for this position in California. Actual compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
