NextStep Recruiting is partnering with a leader in roofing and exterior repair solutions in Duluth, GA. Our client is seeking a Purchasing Director to join their team. The Purchasing Director will directly report to the CFO and be responsible for leading the procurement team and overseeing all purchasing activities.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all purchasing activities across various locations, ensuring materials and services are procured efficiently
- Develop purchasing strategies that support business needs in a cost-effective way
- Work side-by-side with the finance team to forecast demand, plan budgeting, and monitor supply levels
- Travel to various locations to visit vendors and partners
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, finance, or a related field is required. MBA preferred
- 8+ years of procurement experience, with 3+ years within a leadership role
- Previous experience within the construction/building materials industry is required
- Ability to travel up to 50% to various locations nationwide
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a can-do attitude
