Organization Summary: The mission of Purchase To Pay (P2P) is to leverage resources by merging vendor master setup, tactical purchasing, accounts payable, and expense statements into one organization. The P2P team owns the process from the setup of the vendor, to order placement, to payment to the provider. By combining all of these areas, we can effectively make improvements to processes, tools and policies to create value beyond transactional efficiency. There are 4 P2P locations: Dallas, TX; Freising, Germany; Baguio City, Philippines; Shanghai, China. P2P is actively searching for a highly motivated and skilled purchasing assistant to support SM1 and SM2 startup for TI's expansion in Sherman, TX.
Job Purpose/Responsibilities: - Purchase Order (PO) creation
- Create purchase orders for goods and services in line with standard processes and cycle time expectations
- Examine and analyze purchase requisitions and quotes for completeness and accuracy of information
- Maintain queue of incoming Purchase Requisitions
- Purchase Order (PO) management
- Update delivery schedule and pricing based on vendor acknowledgement and ensure that the purchase and receipt are properly documented and recorded
- Executing PO change requests in a timely manner
- Interface effectively with vendors, accounts payable, vendor master and logistics departments
- Resolve problems with invoices, supplier maintenance and receiving discrepancies
- Collaborate with procurement teams to manage orders based on lead times, business needs, and price changes
- Diligently understand and follow TI policies and business rules that relate to purchasing activities
- Develop a strong understanding of all P2P processes
- Support and contribute to global P2P priorities
- Utilize reports to work and resolve issues as identified
- Respond to vendor and internal TI inquiries or issues in a timely manner
- Use knowledge gained from daily activities to recommend process improvements
- Understand impact of process changes outside of P2P

Required Qualifications: - High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience with transactional processes or data entry in SAP or similar ERP system
- Intermediate level of computer literacy and working knowledge of MS Office, specifically Outlook, SharePoint and Excel
- Ability to manage time and execute tasks efficiently
- Capacity to work independently or within a team environment, follow direction, trouble shoot and meet goals and objectives
- Meticulous attention to detail, multitasking skills
- Must be an independent thinker, and have the ability to make quick decisions, tough decisions and drive best results for TI.
- Must have organizational, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
- Confidence in approaching and communicating with internal and external stakeholders across all organizational levels

Preferred Qualifications & Skills: - Previous professional data entry experience preferred/beneficial
