Our client, Michigan Medicine, is seeking a Temporary Purchasing Clerk to join their team. As a Temporary Purchasing Clerk, you will be supporting various faculty and staff within the University Medical School. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational skills, a proactive attitude, and excellent communication abilities which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Temporary Purchasing Clerk Location: Ann Arbor, MI - Downtown Pay Range: $18.00-20.00/hr. What's the Job?
• Serve as the primary contact for all purchasing activity and communications in the Department.
• Review and submit order requests using various procurement systems in compliance with university guidelines.
• Proactively research purchasing issues and follow up on orders.
• Maintain and organize inventory in shared spaces within the department.
• Assist with personnel support and general front office responsibilities. What's Needed?
• High school degree or equivalent, with some coursework in bookkeeping, accounting, or business administration.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an office setting performing clerical duties.
• Minimum of 1 year of purchasing experience.
• Demonstrated computer skills, particularly with Outlook and Google Workspace.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. What's in it for me?
