Job Purpose
To support the Purchasing function by processing and progressing purchase orders, maintaining accurate records, producing documentation, and facilitating the efficient purchasing of goods for contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Purchase Order Management
- Progress purchase orders with suppliers for main contracts.
- Receive and record acknowledgements and advice notes.
- Input and maintain data on the company's purchasing software and computer systems.
- Prepare new purchase orders in the system accurately and efficiently.
- Documentation & Reporting
- File purchase orders, acknowledgements, and advice notes; photocopy and scan documents as needed.
- Administrative Support
- Perform general filing and document management related to purchasing function.
Reporting Lines:
- Must be capable of working independently and without direct supervision
- I.T literate to a good standard & able to pick new systems up easily
- Office-based role.
- Required to meet tight deadlines relating to purchasing, packing, and shipping schedules.
