Job Opportunity: Physician in Internal Medicine - Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine

This position aims to provide essential clinic coverage, assisting with the patient backlog resulting from a staff physician's retirement. Enjoy scheduled clinical hours, with in-house call responsibilities, and work within a supportive outpatient practice setting equipped with the Athena EMR system.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide clinic coverage for 2 weeks per month to assist with patient backlog.
- Conduct patient consultations and manage treatment plans in an outpatient setting.
- Participate in in-house call duties as necessary.
- Utilize the Athena EMR system for patient data management.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to deliver quality patient care.
- Maintain up-to-date medical knowledge and practices in pulmonary disease and critical care medicine.
Qualifications:
- Board Certification in Internal Medicine - Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine preferred.
- Active medical license and required hospital privileges.
- Exceptional patient care and communication skills.
- Eligibility for board certification if not currently board certified.
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Current and active medical license in North Carolina.
- Board certification required or eligible.
- Hospital privileges must be obtained; temporary privileges are available.
