Job Opportunity: Permanent Pulmonary Critical Care Physician in Davenport, IA

Join a dedicated team of healthcare professionals on the banks of the Mississippi River. We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pulmonary Critical Care physician to join a practice of 4 physicians, due to a retirement. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact in patient care at a well-established facility.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive care in inpatient, outpatient, ICU, and procedural settings.
  • Participate in shared call duties (1:4 every 4th night and weekend).
  • Manage an average daily maximum of 20 ICU patients with nurse practitioner support.
  • Supervise and collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.
  • Perform essential procedures such as central line and arterial line insertions, thoracentesis, and bronchoscopy.
  • Diagnose and manage conditions including asthma, COPD, pneumonia, and pulmonary nodules.
  • Utilize Cerner for documentation and electronic medical records.
  • Stay current with therapeutic interventions and advancements in pulmonary care.
Qualifications:
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine.
  • Completed fellowship in Pulmonary Disease/Critical Care Medicine (new graduates welcome).
  • Experience with essential procedures listed in the job responsibilities.
  • Clean malpractice history preferred.
  • Strong teamwork and leadership skills.
License and Certification Requirements:
  • Active Iowa medical license (or willingness to obtain).
  • ACLS certification.
