About Arbor

Arbor is transforming the $500B+ U.S. building-materials market with an AI-driven managed marketplace that connects contractors, builders, and property pros to the industry's largest trade-price inventory-faster, smarter, and 30-40 % more cost-effectively than big-box incumbents. Backed by top investors and operating 22 distribution hubs nationwide, we're scaling at hyperspeed and need high-impact storytellers to amplify our brand.

The Opportunity

We're assembling a bench of world-class PR Consultants to craft and execute earned-media strategies that position Arbor as the definitive authority on AI, supply-chain innovation, and pro-grade building solutions. You'll plug into a nimble, founder-led team, shape the narrative that fuels our Series A growth, and see your work ripple across trade, tech, and mainstream outlets.

What You'll Do

  • Architect the narrative - Distill Arbor's vision and milestones into punchy storylines that resonate with journalists, influencers, and industry analysts.
  • Own the media pipeline - Build/maintain relationships with tier-1 business, tech, and construction-trade press; secure interviews, features, and thought-leadership placements.
  • Newsroom on demand - Draft press releases, op-eds, executive bylines, and rapid-response statements; prep spokespeople with tight messaging and media-training sessions.
  • Campaign & launch support - Lead earned-media playbooks for funding announcements, product launches, partnerships, and data-driven industry reports.
  • Issues & reputation management - Monitor coverage, flag risks, and craft proactive communications to protect and strengthen Arbor's brand credibility.
  • Measure what matters - Define KPIs, track share of voice, and present clear reporting that links PR results to business objectives.

What Sets You Apart

  • 5+ years in PR/communications (agency or in-house), ideally with high-growth B2B tech, marketplace, or supply-chain clients.
  • Proven record of landing coverage in outlets like Bloomberg, WSJ, CNBC, TechCrunch, Fast Company, and vertical trades.
  • Sharp strategic thinker who can pivot from big-picture positioning to deadline-driven execution.
  • Exceptional writing & editing chops-brevity, clarity, and a flair for headlines.
  • Comfortable advising C-suite leaders; confident media-trainer and crisis-comms partner.
  • Existing reporter network in tech, venture, and/or construction beats is a major plus.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with AI, e-commerce logistics, or building-materials sectors.

Why Arbor

  • Category-defining mission - Shape the voice of an industry disruptor tackling a massive, legacy market.
  • Founder access - Work directly with the CEO and leadership team; your ideas won't get stuck in layers.
  • High-velocity impact - See your stories convert into investor interest, customer trust, and talent attraction at scale.
  • Flexibility - Remote contract role (10-30 hrs/week typical); we tailor scope to your superpowers.
  • Competitive compensation - Premium hourly/retainer rates commensurate with experience and results.
