About the job:
- Supports health and wellness by delivering physical therapy services under the guidance of a physical therapist.
- Responds to phone calls.
- Coordinates appointment scheduling.
- Performs massage and stretching as needed.
- Prepares therapy equipment.
- Cleans and sanitizes the therapy area.
- Assists in lifting or moving patients.
- Monitors patients throughout therapy sessions.
- Guides patients through exercises when required.
- Provides patients and their families with information on aftercare following therapy.
Qualifications:
- PTA state licensed
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy
- CPR certified
General Purpose: A Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) works under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to help patients recover from injuries, improve mobility, and manage pain. PTAs carry out treatment plans, which may include exercises, massages, and therapeutic interventions. They monitor patient progress, report findings to the PT, and adjust treatments as necessary to ensure rehabilitation goals are met. PTAs play an essential role in empowering patients to regain their physical abilities and improve quality of life.
