JOB DESCRIPTION: Medical center in North Carolina is seeking a fellowship trained BE/BC Geriatric Psychiatrist. The successful candidate will join a growing academic division with a full-time tenure track appointment at the rank of professor or associate professor. Clinical assistant or clinical associate professor fixed term appointments are also available. The successful candidate will provide direct clinical care in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. Responsibilities will also include teaching and clinical supervision of medical students, residents, and other health professional trainees and clinical research. Highlights include:Inpatient clinical responsibilities will be for consults only on the current 52 bed inpatient behavioral health unitOutpatient clinical responsibilities will include seeing patients at the Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine clinic and the Family Medicine Geriatric CenterMonday-Friday 8a - 5p scheduleExcellent blend of clinical care, teaching, and scholarly activitiesWork with growing, multi-disciplinary, and collegial departmentSalary and academic rank (tenure track or fixed term) commensurate with experience and academic background HOSPITAL:This innovative structure creates opportunities within the system is ranging from acute to ambulatory, academic practice to community practice, regional to rural, and everything in between.
