A hospital is seeking a Psychiatrist for locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located in Northwestern Georgia.
A Board-Certified Psychiatrist is needed for outpatient coverage, Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. The position involves treating adult patients with psychiatric and medication management needs in an ambulatory setting. The locum will be the sole provider on site, supported by a CMA and two full-time permanent MDs. Although other psychiatrists are on staff, this role requires independent coverage and is not open to telepsychiatry. Patient volume ranges from 812 per day. EPIC is used for documentation. Hospital and unit bed numbers, as well as trauma level, are not applicable. Privileges are required, with a credentialing timeline of 120 days and case logs from the past 12 months needed. The client prefers licensed candidates and is open to more than one provider but would ideally have just one.
