Position Requirements
Role Summary:
As a Staff Nurse in our residential inpatient program, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care to individuals with substance use disorders, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. You will be an integral part of providing safe, patient-centric care, ensuring that our patients receive the support and treatment they need for successful recovery.
Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients with substance use disorders, including medical and mental health evaluations.
Medication Management: Administer and monitor medications, including those used for addiction treatment, and provide education to patients.
Patient-Centered Care: Develop individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs of each patient and their substance use history.
Clinical Support: Provide direct nursing care, such as wound care, IV therapy, and other medical procedures as necessary.
Education and Counseling: Educate patients about addiction, recovery, and healthy lifestyle choices. Offer support and encouragement for their treatment journey.
Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and behavioral health technicians, to ensure holistic care.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely medical records, including patient assessments, care plans, and progress notes.
Patient Advocacy: Advocate for the needs of patients, ensuring they have access to appropriate resources and support.
Qualifications:
Current and valid LPN/ RN Nurse license in the state.
Previous experience in substance use treatment and addiction medicine is a strong asset.
Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills.
Empathy, patience, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Understanding of the principles of addiction treatment.
Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
